John "Mac" McCoy retired from the FBI and gave up his
membership at an exclusive sex club in Washington DC to move
back to his hometown farm and settle into marriage with his
new wife, Keiley. He thought he could give up his sexy
lifestyle, knowing she wouldn't be able to handle being with
two men. But after three years of happy marriage a crack is
developing because of his unwillingness to share his dark
desires and Keiley can tell. When she pushes the subject in
an argument, he decides the time might finally be right to
introduce a third, Jethro Riggs—-his old partner, into their
lives.
When Jethro arrives in town due to a forced suspension he
brings news of a re-opened stalker case and his fervent
desire to be part of Mac and Keiley's relationship. In fact,
he saw her first and set her up with the hopes he'd be
invited into their bed. He never imagined he'd have to wait
for three years.
Keiley's past has given her a horrible fear of gossip. But
she has known all along about Mac and Jethro sharing women.
What she has a hard time doing is reconciling her fantasies
with the reality of two strong men wanting to love and
protect her in a small town. She's totally committed to Mac
but wrestles with her desires and growing emotional
attachment to Jethro while worrying about being asked to
resign from her charity committees and becoming gossip
fodder. When the danger gets too close though, she finds the
opinions of others don't hold a candle to the burning
experiences she shares with both Mac and Jethro.
FORBIDDEN PLEASURES is the 8th in Lora Leigh's "Bound
Hearts" series. I did not read any of the earlier books but
I can tell there is some extensive development to back up
this first full length story. The only problem I had with
this book was the editing—several scenes seem to be
confusing and almost duplications of the same dialogue from
one page to the next. I was however pleased by the
resolution of the ménage relationship at the end of the
book. So many times you become invested in two great men in
an erotic romance and for conventional reasons the couple
always winds up being one man one woman. Ms. Leigh doesn't
settle for that trite solution in this one and I for one am
very glad--
The Club is private, exclusive and only for those
men whose fantasies run to the more forbidden side. . .
People have
heard only fleeting rumors about The Club. Located just outside
Washington, D.C., only its members know where men go when
they want to
indulge the desire to share their women with a carefully
selected male
partner. Former FBI agent John ‘Mac’ McCoy resigned his
membership from
The Club when he married Keiley Hardin. Tempting and
innocent, sweet
and sexy, she would never accept Mac’s desires to share her with
another man. However, Keiley’s growing curiosity and Mac’s own
fantasies of sharing his wife haunt his dreams. And his
passions.
Unable to wait any longer, Mac invites his best friend Jethro
Riggs, to their home with the intention of drawing Keiley
into the
pleasures that can only be achieved when two men love the
same woman.
But there’s more going on in Mac’s neck of the woods than a
little
additional pleasure. A past case involving a
stalker who likes to play games has shown up again, but now
Keiley is
in the middle of it all. Passion and pleasure, danger and desire
combine as the forbidden becomes an addiction none of them
can escape.
