Science Fiction

In THE ARCHONS OF THE STARS, Ailia Shipwright has been recognized as Tryna Lia, Princess of the Stars; a savior born in human form to battle and defeat Valdur, the Dark God. Ailia has grown in power and claims mighty allies, but her enemy is her equal and more besides. Prince Morlan, the Avatar of Valdur, has shape shifted into Mandrake, his dragon form, and there he remains. Morlan, uneasy of the world around him, chooses the fortification of his dragon body and rarely appears now in human form. As Avatar, Mandrake prepares to become the manifestation of Valdur himself. Both factions command terrible forces, but the final struggle comes down to Ailia and Mandrake battling in the fortress of Valdur with all the hosts of Heaven and Hell. Now, in her most desperate hour, an ally appears to the Tryna Lia from the most unlikely quarter of all, to save the world or to cast it finally into shadow. A satisfying end to a powerful series! Dragons, Cherubim, Goblins, Humans, Wyverns and all manner of mythical creatures come together to create the universe where Baird has set her Dragon Throne books. Shapeshifter, sorceress and so much more, Ailia has become a solid heroine ready to fulfill her destiny. Maybe a little against her will sometimes, but when push comes to shove, Ailia steps up and makes the choice to be strong. An entertaining read for all ages.
