Emily Stanton is the well-protected daughter of a U.S. Senator who's being threatened because of voting decisions he's made. Emily was previously kidnapped by a drug lord and rescued by a Navy SEAL team. The drug lord wants her again, but this time the threat is that Emily will be kidnapped and killed. Emily's father has hired bodyguard after bodyguard to watch over her. Emily wears them down, wraps them around her finger until they know they're ineffective, then waits for them to resign. She knows her father's plan is to find a good husband for her, settle her down from her wild ways. She won't stand for it. Emily is waiting for the man of her dreams, the perfect man she's loved since she was a child. He walks into her house and Emily knows life will never be the same.

Kell Kreiger is one of the Navy's best. He deals with dangerous missions in a matter-of-fact way, hiding the pain of his past through his actions. He personally volunteered to rescue Emily when she was kidnapped. He's watched her sneak away from her father's watchful eye to sample the thrills life has to offer. One by one, the bodyguards have been replaced. The latest threat against Emily scares Kell enough to step forward and volunteer for the job of bodyguard. He wants Emily's body, has since she was a teenager and Emily's father took him into their home. What Kell is smart enough to realize, once he's settled into her house, is that he wants all of Emily. Period. He figures she'll come around to the fact that he's going to marry her when the time is right.

HIDDEN AGENDAS comes with a "passion flag." It's suggested for readers 18 years and older. The passion is scorching between Emily and Kell; the references to their body parts and needs could fill a "passionate-pleasures-dirty-talk-for- loving" dictionary. HIDDEN AGENDAS has a fast-moving, intriguing plot and lots of hot passion between two strong- willed characters who are so right for each other. This was my introduction to Lora Leigh's writing. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline, which ends with the perfect setup for a future story.
