Waking up in the back seat of a cab after an accident and not knowing who she is, Drew asks a few necessary questions then bolts as soon as the coast is clear. All she knows for sure is that she has blood on her, a wedding dress in a bag, a bunch of cash, a gun and a business card for Kristophe Angelis, Private Investigator. Running to the address on the card, she comes face-to-face with Kit, a good-looking Greek god who instantly makes her blood hot.
As soon as Drew walks in his office, Kit knows he'll help her with her problem, but the investigation isn't going to be easy, since she doesn't know who she is. It soon becomes obvious that she's fled the scene of a crime that also involves a family friend.
THE P.I. is fast-paced and full of mischief and romance. Cara Summers is a talented author who brings her characters to life in such wonderful ways. I have highly recommended her books in the past, and I do the same with this one. I'm really looking forward to reading Kit's brothers' stories in the next two months: Nik in THE COP (July) and Theo in THE DEFENDER (August).
Private investigator-slash-crime writer Kit Angelis is
closing up shop when trouble walks in. Blond, as usualβthe
sexy sleuth's favorite flavor.
But this damsel really is in distress: covered in blood,
she's carrying a wedding dress, a bagful of cash, a
recently fired handgun and Kit's card. And she can't
remember a thingβ¦.
Suddenly Kit is embroiled in a deadly mysteryβand the key
is this sultry stranger. She might be a killer. Or she
might be totally innocent. All Kit is sure of is that this
woman is going to be the hottest thing that ever happened
to himβ¦.
