Amelia Sinclair's honeymoon isn't what she expected. For one thing, the man in the dark bedroom turns out to not be her new husband -- which she discovers when she stabs him. For another, the man she's been having dreams about shows up to save her by busting through her new bridegroom's bedroom door.
Then Amelia finds her new groom dead in the root cellar -- apparently from fright. How did the dream man get in past all the locked doors? And how did he know she needed help, anyway? How are they going to get past the creatures surrounding her now-late husband's ancestral home to reach the safety of Wulfglen? And is this dream man cursed as everyone says he is? Is he more than a man? How else could he see in the dark and have an otherworldly strength?
THE CURSED ONE is the latest episode in Ms. Thompson's Wild Wulfs of London series and is a very fun, intense, sexy, yet poignant read. Gabriel, the strong-willed, silent loner of the Wulf brothers is as likable as all the rest of the Wulf men, and is just as alpha. Amelia is the heroine we'd all like to believe we'd have been had we lived in 19th century England. Altogether, a great ending to a very good series -- or is it the end? Let's hope Ms. Thompson walks through the door she leaves open at the end and continues the saga of the Wild Wulfs of London. A very good read.
