Sierra Gibbs, the third born in a set of triplets, has always been the one everyone worries about. With a degree in psychology and sociology, she teaches at Georgetown doing research and writing a book. Even though she's highly successful, Sierra hides behind her books and packs her inhaler and blue note cards for list-making. Her latest list is a five-step plan for initiating a sexual relationship with a man.

While on her way to meet her sisters, Sierra is nearly knocked over at the bar at the Blue Pepper and is saved by a good-looking man. As she kneels to gather the contents of her bag, so does he and the chemistry begins.

Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, Ryder needed to mend his ways and so joined the military. It was discovered that he had a special talent, so he was transferred to the special forces. Now he owns Kane Management, a successful security system business. Knowing he'll probably spend his life alone, he's never let himself feel anything for a woman. While waiting at the bar for a friend in need of his help, Ryder can't miss the woman who appears to be quite nervous. When she's knocked over at the bar, he jumps in to save her. The attraction is instant and something he's never felt before. Even more interesting is the blue note card she leaves behind.

Sierra is on her way to the Blue Pepper for a speed dating session for her research on her five-step plan when Ryder calls and insists she grant him the 10 minutes the other men would receive. After doing so, Sierra knows no other man can top Ryder. Getting caught in traffic, Ryder asks her to deliver a message to the friend he was to meet the night before. Sierra and Ryder don't know that by delivering the message, Sierra's life will be endangered. And with the first attempt on her life, Ryder insists on being her bodyguard until the bad guys are caught. Being with each other night and day is going to be harder than either thought, so they agree to be professional during the day and explore their desires at night. But that rule is shot to hell as soon as it's made.

This is the perfect ending to the Risking It All series. It has the perfect balance of suspense, action and romance. I particularly like THE FAVOR because you get to see women who're intelligent but have some major fears to overcome. And Ryder is so good-looking and fun-hearted, you can't help fall in love with him yourself. I've been fortunate enough to read each story in this series, and I recommend them all. I applaud Ms. Summers in the fine work she's done.
