Spymaster Ethan Gray, known as the Wolf, has been partnered with Maris Winter, a spy who goes by the name Raven. They are to appear as a married couple to attend an auction in order to purchase a shipment of arms. Of course, Ethan is unhappy to be working not only with a partner, but with a woman. And Maris isn't any more pleased than him.

While they are working together, Ethan has a hard time trusting Maris because of a past acquaintance. Maris, on the other hand, loves England, but is keeping something and someone from Ethan. In the meantime Ethan is falling hard for Maris. Once her secret is revealed, will his love for her be strong enough to forgive her?

WOLF'S TEMPTATION is a great mystery and romance. Once I started this book, I could not put it down. It's beautifully written with style and grace. I'm anxiously hoping that Ms. Birdsell will write more stories about the dangerous world of British spies in Georgian England.
