The clever sleuths from the Ladies' Amateur Society are
back. This time, they must come to the rescue of member Meg
Piddington. At her father's confectionery, a thief is
stealing from the factory. The thefts became apparent when
Meg is accidentally locked in the storage room with Gareth,
a devilishly handsome worker, after hours. When Gareth is
accused of the crime, he cannot provide an alibi without
ruining Meg's reputation. Meg attempts to solve the
mystery, but thoughts of Gareth interfere with her
concentration. For the first time, she questions her
decision not to marry, for Gareth provokes strong feelings
of attraction within her.

with plans to move up into management. After enduring a
childhood with an irresponsible parent who gambled away
