Sid Bifulco, aka "Sleep," has just been released from
prison and wishes to leave his past behind him and focus on
his newly discovered passion for fly-fishing. Little does
he know that the criminal element will be so close to him
in this sleepy community in the middle of nowhere.
When a hit man shows up to take care of a "job," a few
wacky citizens accidentally take care of him. And for
reasons unknown, they have a video recorder running at the
time of the "accident." Sid is an expert at getting rid of
bodies, but when the videotape of the crime comes up
missing, he's at a loss for what to do. Looking for the
tape gets in the way of finding the great fishing spots.
And somehow, an overzealous and greedy trooper gets his
hands on the incriminating tape. What's an ex-mobster to do?
Brian M. Wiprud's SLEEP WITH THE FISHES is a wild
and crazy fish tale. This story is filled with the same
type of fun and zany characters that I love in his other
books, such as PIPSQUEAK, STUFFED and CROOKED. I can't wait
to see what Wiprud comes up with next.
