Romance Contemporary

Clarise Robinson has spent her career in the fashion industry, selling clothes at Eubanks Elegant Apparel, covering up her own assets. Known as an elegant dresser who can put a stylish outfit together, no one at work realizes she's hiding luscious curves. That's probably because she doesn't consider them luscious, instead thinking of her curvy figure as a burden she has to bear. But now it's become a burden she's going to bare -- and Clarise has decided that at 30, she's going to flash it all at a work retreat at the Gasparilla Pirate Fest in Tampa, Fla.

Gasparilla seems to have a lot in common with Mardi Gras, and if women show their breasts, they can get lots of beads. Clarise plans to be loaded with beads by the time she comes home, and hopefully, while she's baring her body, she'll bare her soul to her boss and best friend. It's time to move their relationship to the next level -- at least, Clarise hopes Ethan will be open to that option.

Ethan has been friends with Clarise for several years, meeting her every Friday for coffee and talking about women, work and life. When Clarise breaks out a stupendous, mouth-opening, drooling red dress at an office party, it's the first time Ethan sees what his friend has been hiding behind her stylish but baggy clothing. Wow. Unsure about his burgeoning feelings (and other body parts), Ethan is determined to behave in Gasparilla because he doesn't want to lose Clarise's friendship. And, after all, he's never been able to commit.

This book is fun for no other reason than watching Clarise blossom. A woman who's finally found that her Mae West curves are nothing to be ashamed of is a great force to unleash! I like Ethan, too, and you'll find yourself rooting for this couple who did it the "right" way -- friendship first. A fun book.

SUMMARY

Clarise Robinson has never walked on the wild side of life, much less run naked through it. But when she turns 30, she decides it's time to cut loose a little on a weekend getaway with the girls to the Gasparilla Festival in Tampa.

Then, the one person she's always had a crush on shows up. Ethan Eubanks is different from the other guys at work. For one thing, he's the boss--and he's certainly never seen Clarise drop her wallflower camouflage and reveal the siren within. Clarise knows that Ethan is out of her league, plain and simple. But during festival season, anything can happen.
