Katy and Ephraim Doyal had been married for nearly 60 years before Katy left this world just after Christmas. But Katy didn't really leave. She hovered above, observing everyone's behavior. And what she observed was that death can do very strange things to family and friends. What she probably didn't expect was bizarre and unpredictable behavior from her only son, Wyatt. Katy thought she had everything planned out, such as funeral plans, burial plans and Ephraim's care once she was gone. Everything was in writing, but as they say, nothing ever goes as planned. Dispersed throughout this story are letters written by various characters. The magic of each letter is that you do not know who the author is until the end. This is the same magic I felt when I read each letter and post card of the Griffin and Sabine Trilogy by Nick Bantock. You knew who they were from, but the mystery was the content. THE OTHER SIDE OF AIR by Ms. Braselton is an intriguing story of life on the other side. It's not a reincarnation or life after death story, but one that offers a peek into the possibilities of what could be.
