Edie Amos may have lost the love of her life, but she
can’t lose this apartment.
Sure her journalist boyfriend has taken a dangerous
assignment overseas, leaving Edie without a second
thought. But a sunny two-bedroom apartment—with a balcony—
doesn’t come easy in Manhattan. So Edie is embarking on a
more hazardous mission: posting in the classifieds for the
perfect roommate. Living on the salary of a
waitress/actress, Edie’s days in the apartment are
numbered. But that’s not all that doesn’t add up. Somehow
Edie ends up with not one roommate but two: a tall, blonde
and pierced German dental assistant and a shopaholic Texas
princess.
Now Edie can swing the rent, but can she swing through the
city as a single again? In a world of couples, Edie’s
learning that one is not the loneliest number. And she’s
