You wanted to know a little about your readers, and I will tell
you a little about me. I've been married to the love of my life
for 33 + years. We also finally live near one of the Great
Lakes, but actually live more in the farming area, just a stone's
throw from the lake, which gives us the best of both worlds. I
have fields on a couple of sides, and woods on the other, which
bring out all sorts of wildlife. Birdfeeding is one of our
pasttimes as well as our priorities, and we have suet cages, as
well as feeders all around our place, as well as a hummingbird
feeder in the summer. We also have 2 spoiled cats, who are a
little over 2 years old now, and were born at my feet. I was
shocked when that happened, because we didn't know the mama cat
was pregnant!! Within the past month, someone dumped a new cat
on the property, and it has adopted our place as its' new home.
It loves to wander the property, but comes in for meals, as well
as a good nap!! Our cats are strictly indoor cats. We also feed
2 other strays outside who are feral, and my husband made a nice
sanctuary for them to eat in, as we as sun themselves when the
weather is nice. In the past, we usually had dogs, but at this
stage of our lives, we are content to have cats, and give them
the love that they give us back 100-fold. Not a day goes by that
they don't make us laugh!! I also love to read, and I teach a
knitting class. We also are Managers of the place where we live,
so we have a full, but blessed life. There's never a dull moment
here. Being a city girl all my life, then moving out to the
country was the best move we could have made. It took some
adjusting, but we still would never move back!! Although a bit
long, I tried to give you a condensed version. I loved the
excerpt from your book, and can't wait to read more!!
Congratulations on your book, and I'm sure it's going to do

I am from West Texas and married a Minnesotan. It took years
before I believed that the lakes really do freeze over in the
winter. I live in central Minnesota and also on a lake. Best to
you and your writings.
