Romance Suspense
If you listen hard enough...
Diablo Springs--once a boomtown of gamblers, outlaws and
miners. Now a place where shifting sands whisper only of
torment and loss...a place where shadows lure the
unsuspecting into its abyss. It is where Gracie Beck was raised, but she never called it
home. When she left that place, she never looked back... You will hear their whispered warnings...
Now Gracie finds she’s inherited the Diablo Springs Hotel
from her grandmother and, with it, a curse that has haunted
her family for over a hundred years. As she begins to
unearth long-buried secrets, she unleashes a force that
threatens everyone she cares about. And when the one man
she has tried to forget unexpectedly returns to Diablo
Springs to find inspiration for his next novel, Gracie
knows that a dark and desperate chapter in the story of her
family must finally be written...
From Affaire de Coeur
"The history of the Beck women and of Diablo Springs is
spun through past and present by a master weaver of
paranormal and romantic tales. Erin Grady?s narrative is
superb and her characters are terrific. Whispers is
steeped in atmosphere, emotions, and a fantastic storyline.
This is one knock-out book and comes highly
recommended."
Marilyn Weigel, April 2006, Romantic
Times BOOKclub
"As [the] story unfolds, a parallel tale,
which took place in the 1890s and has significant relevance
to the present, is told as well. These two narrative strands
are woven together skillfully and, once united, lead to the
story's suspenseful climax and to the dramatic resolution of
both plots.
Grady is an author to watch. Her beautifully descriptive
prose, masterful characterization and tightly knit story
structure will make readers happy to follow her wherever she
leads."

Re: Whispers
Well drawn characters, a parallel tale, romance, ghostsa little mystery. Whaat is not to like. loved this book from page one, and stayed up until it was done. Very well written, you could almost smell the dry dusty town with overtones of mud whem the storm came. (Elizabeth Parzino 3:22pm August 16, 2009)
