Erotic

"You walk toward me, closing the space between us, and you kiss me again, your tongue so deep and so welcome in my mouth, creating a cascade of sensations that vibrate down my spine. We forsake all sense of reason, letting our hands and mouths at long last have their way as we discover each other’s body. You inhale sharply when you recognize my absolute nakedness beneath the peach silk of my sundress."
- From the short story 'Taboo'

"He pulls away and lifts her up, carries her to the vast kitchen area and sits her on the newly installed marble island. She unbuttons his white polo shirt and uses her hands and mouth to feel and taste her way across his chest, tracing his collarbone with her lips and tongue. As she lifts her head to kiss him, she realizes they are of equal height now that she is perched on the marble island. He touches her chin and kisses her, slowly, deeply. She impulsively brings her legs up to wrap around him, but he places his hands on each of her thighs, preventing it and at the same time pulling her closer to the marble's edge."
- From the short story 'Opposites Attract'

Re: Encounters

I'm so glad to see this got a great review. And rightly so. I thoroughly enjoy Powell's writing style and the stories are relate-able and addictive. A great beach read.
