After thirteen years apart, childhood sweethearts Dori Daine and Mitch Kramer must put aside painful memories and learn to trust each other again. Together, they must save Dori's daughter, Jessie, from the malevolent spirit who seeks revenge against them all.
Dori Daine returns to the small New Jersey town where she spent summers as a child, to memories of a sense of innocence, a place that was filled with friends and laughter before she married a man who put her through twelve years of his own brand of Hell. A man who promised with his dying breath that he would haunt her forever.
Mitch Kramer has given up his bad boy, wandering ways and settled in Loantaka Hills as a juvenile detective. He has never recovered from the guilt of not being able to save his twin sister from drowning, and has never forgotten that Dori turned away from him when he needed her most.
Together again, Dori and Mitch must exorcise the demons of their pasts to discover that in the face of true love, evil has no power.
