Having read all three in the abandoned at the altar series I consider myself an authority as well as big fan of Guhrke. She is the future of historical romance novels. Her books are punctuated with wit, passion,empathetic characters and just the right amount of historical references to keep the most avid reader on their toes. Always an enjoyable and fast read the latest installment delivers - only complaint is I wanted more. I just didn't want Annabel and Christian's story to end.
