I absolutely loved this story. Author Carla Stewart captures the atmosphere of the jazz age with Gabe and Mitzi's story, and also addresses the serious topic of abusive relationships with Brooke's story - and she combines the two to create a beautiful story that will resonate with readers long after the last page is turned.
I never knew that Tulsa, Oklahoma had such a huge Jazz music community back in the day, and I learned a lot through this wonderfully written novel.
I highly recommend this book.
