Childrens

Ted, Ed, and Bill Foust were typical, energetic boys growing up in the rural town of Galena, Kansas during the 1920s. They loved to have grand adventures in and around the small town they called home. One day, the boys found and befriended an unusual pet, a squirrel they affectionately named Jimmie. This special animal follows the Foust boys on all of their adventures, bringing immense joy to both the family and the town. This is the true story of the Foust boys' childhood, passed down to the author by her father and two uncles. In addition to the wonderful and exciting adventures of the boys, this story gives us an insight into the interrelationships of the people of small towns during a stressful economic time in American history. This story will touch the hearts of people of all ages, backgrounds, and lifestyles. Linda Foust Prieto is currently retired and living in Rowlett, Texas with her husband of 15 years. She has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild who live with their families in California. Prieto wrote Little Scavenger in order to pass on the joy she felt listening to her father's childhood story to the generations to come.
