Contemporary Chick Lit

Even though working her way up the ranks of a film crew has been slow and sometimes grueling, Rox has been semisuccessful--only thirtyish and she's already made it to assistant cinematographer. It's quite a coup, but what she really wants to do is direct.

Her crew's latest project is a coveted B-list action movie. Though when opportunity knocks, sometimes it doesn't stop: a friend's long-awaited screenplay seems ripe for the making and she wants Rox in the director's chair. It's not every day Rox has the chance to make her directorial debut, so she does what any right-minded wannabe filmmaker would do. She says yes. To both projects.

Managing both cinematic experiences quickly turns into more disaster flick than indie gem as Rox finds herself attempting to dodge the cliched pitfalls of interacting with famous film divas, spending long hours on set, keeping up with a host of neglected friendships and hanging with the one guy she knows she shouldn't.

Can Rox juggle two lives? Either way, it'll be and award-winning performance!
