Stella Hardesty, avenger of wronged women, is getting cozy with Sheriff βGoatβ Jones when the tornado that is blazing a path of destruction through town blows his scheming ex-wife, Brandy, through the front door. Adding to the chaos, the tornado destroys the snack shack at the demolition derby track, pulling up the concrete and unearthing a womanβs body. The main suspect for the dumping is Neb Donovan; he laid the foundations, and thereβs some pretty hard evidence pointing to him. Years ago, Nebβs wife asked Stella for help getting him off oxycontin. Stella doesnβt believe the gentle man could kill any woman, and she promises his frantic wife sheβll look into it. Chrissy Shaw, now fully employed at Stellaβs sewing shop, helps with snooping around as Stella must negotiate the unpredictable Brandy and the alluring Sheriff.
