It always shocks me when people say things like, "I looked at him and I knew he was the man I was going to marry." Really? I'm not kidding, I really wanna know, did u know?? Cuz I've never been sure about anything, especially in matters of "romantic love" and I'm not sure if that makes me a cynic or not. But I always hope for it to exist. I just don't see any evidence except in books; but people always say don't believe what u see in movies so I figure it's the same for the stuff I read in books. It's nice to at least have the stories though :)

Bella, I think there are *lots* of people who feel the way you do. I wish I could explain what happened to me, but it's just something that was there. Of course, that doesn't mean my marriage hasn't had the same problems and struggles all relationships have...

And LOL, I told my husband that after I wrote this blog we could never, ever divorce. He's stuck with me. :)

I believe in love at first sight. Anyone who reads about the lady whom JFK told he loved her the first time he met her would believe in love at first sight. He was engaged to Jacqueline at the time he met his true love and it is sad to read his letters to the lady he was forced by circumstances to forsake and marry Jacqueline. And the lady fell for JFK also and kept the letters he wrote to her. Yes, love at first sight is possible.

I completely believe in love at first sight. I was 17 when I met my husband on the beach, my friend walked me up to him, introduced us, I looked up at him and my instant thought was; Oh it's you! I'm going to marry you!

25 years and 2 children later we're still going strong. If you ever get that feeling my best advice is do not ignore it.

Love has a spark that can happen at first sight, but generally develops over time. One is attracted to a person more than another, yet it's hard to pin down. It's kindof like when you catch someone's eye and hold the glance a bit longer, because you like what you see and desire to know more.

I knew the first time I saw my hubby too...and I was only 16. I saw him from across the room at a party and wanted to meet him but was to shy. My girlfriend was dating his best friend and arranged a blind date and we've been together ever since....that was in 1971. So yes, I do believe in love at first sight!!!

I definately believe in love at first sight! I met my husband online, we met finally after chatting by email and then by telephone, and when he came to get me for the first date, I tell everyone he basically never went home. 12 years later we are still very very happy!

I believe it can happen. It was sort of
love at second sight for us. We went
to high school together for a year or
so, then didn't see each other for 7
years. He was one of many friends
whose fathers were stationed at the
nearby Air Base. I wrote to several of
them once or twice a year after
graduation. I say him briefly after 7
years while stopping to visit my cousin
. He showed up 5 month later and
proposed. No dating, we just realized
we were right for each other when we
first met again.
