Mystery Woman Sleuth

Ogeechee, Georgia, police officer Trudy Roundtree has to dig into the town’s past to uncover the secrets of a body that’s been in an abandoned refrigerator for 30 years. She consults back issues of The Ogeechee Beacon and long-time town residents to find out what was going on in Ogeechee 30 years ago and why this woman was never reported missing. Along the way to reconstructing the events that led to the woman’s death and finding her killer, Trudy and her cousin, Chief of Police Henry Huckabee, get a lot of “help” from Hen’s mother (Trudy’s Aunt Lulu) and her friends, who fancy themselves as detectives.
