In 1972, when John Thinnes was an MP in Vietnam, Saigons Tu Do Street was the territory of a vicious criminal known as White Tiger. When a Vietnamese woman is murdered by White Tiger in Chicagos Uptown neighborhood, Police Detective Thinnes is pulled from the case because of a conflict of interest. Thinnes leaves the police case to his female partner, Don Franchi, and turns to his fellow vets, including psychiatrist Dr. Jack Caleb, hoping their recollections and his own will help him find the killer in Saigon. In addition to its riveting story, White Tiger is enriched by the growing friendship between these two so different men.
