This is not your typical dark romance.
In the rain‑soaked streets of Belfast, something is waiting to be uncovered. Tala Nez was taught to read the marks people leave behind.
The signs others miss. The traces no one thinks to look for. So when her father disappears, Tala knows his absence is more than it seems.
Six months later, a message from him sends her to Belfast with one warning: Trust no one. Including me. There, she crosses paths with Liam O’Connell — a man who trusts facts, numbers, and evidence far more than instinct.
Tala trusts what the world leaves behind. They agree on almost nothing.
Except that someone is lying.
And the deeper they search, the harder it becomes to tell where the truth ends and the deception begins. Forced to work together, Tala and Liam find themselves drawn into something neither of them fully understands — and toward each other in ways neither of them intended. Because in a city filled with shadows, altered records, and old secrets, seeing the truth may not be enough. Some truths are buried.
Some are hidden in plain sight.
And some trails should never be followed alone.
Shadows in Belfast is a slow‑burn dark romantic suspense and part of the O'Connell family series.
