Screenwriter Joey Adams is sure her boyfriend—plastic
surgeon Laurence Benson—is about to propose. But when he
confesses that he has fallen in love with a leggy,
silicone-stuffed model-actress, Joey is devastated. The
worst part is having to explain to her family that she's
been dumped at the surprise engagement party thrown by her
sisters. Determined to win back her man, she concocts a
plan with the help of an unlikely ally.
Director Ryan Donovan is shooting a big-budget movie in
Milan that will establish him as a major filmmaker. But
when he spies Joey Adams in Italy and recalls their
memorable encounter in
L.A.—he agrees to help her try to make her ex-boyfriend
jealous. But will the ruse turn out to be just a charade,
or the real thing?
