Mary Alice Kruesi

Mary Alice Kruesi

Pseudonym for Mary Alice Monroe.

Mary Alice Kruesi was born in the suburbs of Chicago.As a child she loved to combine talents with her nine brothers and sisters to write and perform in plays and holiday shows.

Mary Alice attended Northwestern University and studied acting at the Ted Liss Studios in Chicago. After her marriage, she moved to New Jersey, where she completed her B.A. in Asian Studies and Japanese and her M.A. in Education at Seton Hall University, New Jersey.

It wasn't until their move to Washington, D.C. that Mary Alice could return to her childhood dream of writing in earnest. She was confined to bed for the second half ofher pregnancy. Mary Alice saw it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to write--and write she did.

Mary Alice now lives in a suburb of Chicago with her husband, three children and a menagerie of pets. She is a member of RWA and chapters Washington Romance Writers, Chicago North RWA, Windy City RWA,and Wisconsin RWA. She regularly speaks at conferences, libraries and private groups.
