Sunshine, secrets, and swoon-worthy stories—June's featured reads are your perfect summer escape.
Christopher Fowler
I’m an English novelist living in London, where I’m best known for my dark urban fiction. My books contain elements of black comedy, anxiety and social satire. As well as novels, I write short stories, scripts, press articles and reviews. I’m currently writing the Bryant and May mystery novels, which chronicle the adventures of two elderly detectives. My autobiography, ‘Paperboy’, comes out in February 2009 from Transworld. I’m also producing new short stories for my next collection.
I was born in Greenwich, and live in King’s Cross, on the Battlebridge Basin. I choose London as the backdrop of many stories because any one of the events in its two thousand year history can provide inspiration for a story.
