Truant D. Memphis
Truant D. Memphis is the pseudonym of an as yet unnamed fiction author currently residing in the 27th largest U.S. city. Since 2016, three novels and a novella have been released under the TDM, Ink publishing entity with Memphis listed as the author, beginning with his most celebrated title, Littlethumb Sneezed. Memphis also serves as a character in several of Memphis’ novels. According to the author his middle name is Delighted “because his parents were hippies.” Memphis’ books are a blend of science fiction, low fantasy, magical realism, speculative, and literary fiction.
Memphis cites the following as major influences on his writing: Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Stephen King, Steve Martin, comic books, his family, Star Wars, William Goldman (specifically The Princess Bride), The Simpsons, Star Trek, The A-Team, Jesus of Nazareth, Bruce Lee, Dustin Booksh, a dog named Roscoe, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Jesucristo Hombre, and Saturday Night Live.
