Mikaella Clements

Mikaella Clements is an Australian writer currently based in Berlin. With her wife Onjuli Datta, she co-wrote THE VIEW WAS EXHAUSTING, forthcoming on July 6, 2021, with Grand Central Publishing and Headline Review. She was highly commended for the 2019 Bridport Short Story Prize, shortlisted for the 2019 Galley Beggar Press Short Story Prize and the 2018 Bridport Short Story Prize, and longlisted for the 2018 Kill Your Darlings Unpublished Manuscript Award. Her short stories have been anthologised in Black Inc.’s Best Summer Stories (2018) and Kill Your Darlings’ New Australian Fiction (2019).

Her non-fiction has been published in the New York Times, the Guardian, the TLS, the Outline, the LA Review of Books, Buzzfeed, and many others. Her fiction has been published in Catapult, Hazlitt, Overland Literary Journal, Scum Mag, and more.
