Laylah Aragón
Laylah Aragón (b. 1991) is a Mills College alumna, born and raised in Southern California, who now calls New York City home.She is currently working in the software development industry, pondering how to save the world from climate change and mass extinction, and also writing her heart out. She is of mixed Cuban/Mexican-American descent, with multiculturalism playing a significant role in her writing, in both its style and subject matter. Feminism, intersectionality, environmentalism, and geopolitics are also strong themes throughout her novels, citing Daniel Quinn, Ralph Ellison and Margaret Atwood as some of her major influences. She has been vegan since 2006 and is an advocate for local plant-based diets that have a low environmental impact. She is also a strong advocate for the use of 100% post-consumer recycled toilet paper so we can all stop desecrating forests just to wipe our booties.
