Cj Zahner

Cyndie “CJ” Zahner began looking at life differently in 2015 when her only sibling and his wife were diagnosed with dementia and early-onset Alzheimer’s. That year, her husband pulled her aside and said, “Quit your job. You’re a writer.” After working full-time for twenty years at the city of Erie as a grant writer and administrator, she picked up her purse one day and quietly walked away. She never returned. She began her career as a novelist. In the past, Zahner also worked as a part-time freelance writer, contributing articles ranging from budgeting to paranormal topics to local newspapers and magazines in her hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania. Some of her most popular articles are highlighted on her website. Zahner also blogs on women’s’ topics at the website she cohosts with her daughter, Jessie Zahner. Zahner is a grandmother of one, mother of three, wife, book addict, and avid amateur runner. A hard worker and story lover, she now rises before dawn, runs, writes and smiles much. She has completed her first book, The Suicide Gene, a second book, Dream Wide Awake, and is working on her third and fourth books, Within the Setting Sun and The Dream Snatchers. With God’s help, she hopes to spend time with her family, read, write and run happily ever after.
