Jacqui Lane
Lane is a native Atlantan and graduate of Georgia State University. She, her husband, Larry Korb, and the real Abby divide their time between Sugar Hill, GA and Alexandria, VA. Her debut mystery, Current Affairs: A Tiara Investigations Mystery was published in 2011. The second book in the series, Domestic Affairs was published in May 2013. When not writing she’s enjoying characteristic baby boomer pursuits: hiking in various countries and playing golf. Her volunteer work includes raising money for women political candidates, communications and media for the Delaware River and Bay Lighthouse Foundation and conducting home visits for A Forever Home, a dog foster organization. She is on the Political Science Advisory Board for Georgia State University. Lane serves on Sugar Hill’s 75th Anniversary Planning Committee. She’s a member of the Atlanta and Washington, DC Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) chapters, serving on DC’s 2016 Annual General Meeting Planning Committee. acqueline Corcoran was born to Irish and Welsh parents in England, but has lived in the U.S. for most of her life. She now resides in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband, two children, and three rescue animals that include cats, Gootch and Luna, and Tina the six-pound Chihuahua. Jacqueline’s hobbies are foster parenting animals, hiking, and spinning. Jacqueline is a social worker, psychotherapist and professor (at Virginia Commonwealth University), as well as an author. Her published work includes thirteen textbooks, three self-help books (Depression Solutions, Write Your Way to Right Thinking, and Teens Text Sex) and novels YA Memoir of Murder (2012), steampunk (The Girl with the Mechanical Hand, forthcoming), and adult mysteries Maiming of the Shrew (2013), A Month of Sundays (2011) and Backlit (2012).
