Samantha Gentry

I'm currently living in Kansas, but have lived most of my life in the Los Angeles area. I have fond hopes of being able to move back to the West Coast. For 20 years I worked in television production before becoming a full time writer. For many years photography was my avocation and at one time I thought I might like to be a travel photographer. Research showed me that I had a better chance of marketing my photographs to magazines if they included an article, so that's when and how I started writing…non-fiction magazine articles to accompany my photographs. I found that I thoroughly enjoyed the writing process. The writing eventually segued into fiction and novels. With 21 novels published by Harlequin/Silhouette under the pseudonym of Shawna Delacorte, I discovered ebooks and had my first one published in January 2006. In addition to writing full time, I've also been teaching an 8 week fiction writing class at the state university twice a year since 1997. I love to travel and have visited the UK several times.
