Cora J. Ramos

Cora J. Ramos

Cora J. Ramos is a writer of short stories of mystery and suspense that have won awards and been published in the anthology, Valley Fever, Where Murder is Contagious. Retired from teaching, Cora now gives her full attention to writing, family, pet dogs and her garden. She is a trained artist and loves to paint for her own pleasure, often using art to bring inspiration for a new writing project. Her first novel, DANCE THE DREAM AWAKE, is a paranormal romantic suspense, set in present day but with a past life set in ancient Maya, in the Yucatan, around 900 A.D. It is a result of a paranormal, synchronistic incident that happened while vacationing on the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. The seeds of inspiration lay dormant until she did a writing exercise for a teacher training that sprouted into a story idea that she decided to write about seriously. She has kept journals of her dreams, poems and inspiration for paintings and stories for many years, always knowing she would one day write.
