Charles A. Moose

Charles Alexander Moose (born 1953) is an American law enforcement official and author. A native of New York City who grew up in North Carolina, he has served as the chief of police for Montgomery County, Maryland, and Portland, Oregon. During October 2002, he became internationally known as the primary official in charge of the efforts to apprehend the Beltway snipers.
