A University of Arizona alumnus, Chey has been writing ever since she can remember, back to her kindergarten days when she penned her first poem. But she began to seriously pursue publication after starting her first young adult novel in January 2000, following a very intense dream.  For two years she wrote primarily young adult paranormal fiction.  While she loved writing young adult fiction, she found herself wanting to explore more adult relationships and had re-discovered romance novels.  In particular Elizabeth Lowell’s book The Diamond Tiger, made such an impression that Cheyenne decided to try writing romance.  She quickly found that her stories were too hot for the traditional romance market.
