C.S. Graham

C.S. Graham

Pseudonym for C.S. Harris.

C.S. Graham is the pseudonym of former Army intelligence officer Steven Harris and bestselling author Candice Proctor, who also writes historical mysteries as C.S. Harris. Steven Harris spent more than two decades in the United States Army as a career intelligence officer. During that time he participated in the Government's controversial domestic surveillance program, ran agents in the Far East, and did two tours of duty in Vietnam. He spent ten years in Washington, D.C., at the national intelligence level, where he was involved in the remote viewer training program and worked with the Army's remote viewers at Fort Meade. As Deputy Director of Intelligence at the Army Material Command, he was responsible for the security of classified programs and had access to all of the Army's black R&D programs. Retiring a lieutenant colonel, he moved into the oil and gas industry, and now works in human resources. He lives in New Orleans with his wife, co-author Candice Proctor, and two stepdaughters. Candice Proctor, aka C.S. Harris and C.S. Graham, is the bestselling, award-winning author of more than a dozen novels including the Sebastian St. Cyr Regency mystery series written under the name C.S. Harris, the C.S. Graham thriller series (coauthored with Steven Harris), and seven historical romances. She is also the author of a nonfiction historical study of the French Revolution. Candice graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude with a degree in Classics before going on to earn an MA and Ph.D. in history. A former academic, she has taught at the University of Idaho and Midwestern State University in Texas. She also worked as an archaeologist on a variety of sites including a Hudson's Bay Company Fort in San Juan Island, a Cherokee village in Tennessee, a prehistoric kill site in Victoria, Australia, and a Roman cemetery and medieval manor house in Winchester, England. Most recently, she spent many years as a partner in an international business consulting firm. The daughter of a career Air Force officer and university professor, Proctor loves to travel and has spent much of her life abroad. She has lived in Spain, Greece, England, France, Jordan, and Australia. She now makes her home in New Orleans, Louisiana, with her husband, retired Army officer Steve Harris, her two daughters, and an ever-expanding number of cats.
