Dharma Mittra

Dharma Mittra is founder and director of the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City. He has studied and practiced the eight limbs of yoga since 1958. After his initiation as a sannyasi (one who renounces the world in order to realize God), Dharma began teaching classical yoga in 1967. He has introduced tens of thousands of people to the practice of yoga and trained hundreds of yoga teachers. Known worldwide for his classic Master Yoga Chart of 908 Postures, he is the author of Asanas: 608 Yoga Poses.
