Alexandra Jamieson
As a holistic health counselor and personal chef, Alexandra
Jamieson works with individual clients all over the world,
offering personalized recommendations and support while
integrating appropriate food choices with lifestyle options.
Having graduated from the Institute for Integrative
Nutrition, Alexandra was attracted to a path of study to
learn how to heal with food, positive lifestyle changes and
complimentary medicine because of her own battles with sugar
addiction, fatigue, migraines, and candidiasis. As a gourmet natural foods chef Alexandra Jamieson is
dedicated to creating healthy delicious food and providing
convenient, time saving services for her clients. Having
graduated from New York City’s Natural Gourmet Cookery
School, Alexandra began cooking professionally in Milan,
Italy. Working under Chef Mohamed Tourkey, Alexandra
expanded her skills creating regional, vegan, macrobiotic
and seasonal organic menus. Her past clients have required
specialized food planning with cancer, diabetes, high blood
pressure, infertility, wheat and other food allergies. Returning to New York City in 2001, Chef Alexandra Jamieson
worked as the pastry chef at Other Foods, one of the city’s
finest organic restaurants. As the vegetarian chef at Paul
Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Chef Jamieson spent the
summer of 2002 offering up healthy, fun foods for the staff,
volunteers and kids to who attended this camp for children
with life-threatening illnesses. Having appeared on Oprah, The Final Word, 30 Days, The
National Health Test with Bryant Gumble and the
award-winning documentary Super Size Me, Alex is getting the
word out about holistic nutrition and healthy living! Her
new book “The Great American Detox Diet” (Rodale, 2005)
offers sane, tasty advice on how to clean out, feel great
and live healthfully.
