Carl Safina

Carl Safina, a MacArthur Fellow, Pew Fellow, 2000 winner of the major Lannan Literary Award for Nonfiction, and winner of the 2003 John Burroughs Award, is president of the Blue Ocean Institute. The New York Times Book Review called his Song for the Blue Ocean Ò€œa landmark book.Ò€ It was selected a New York Times Notable Book of the year, a Los Angeles Times Best Nonfiction selection, and a Library Journal Best Science Book selection. He lives in Amagansett, New York.
