Jennifer Ryan blows it out of the park again with STONE
COLD
COWBOY which is the fourth book in her Montana Men
Series.
This is another great story about a strong woman who goes
through some unbelievable suffering but comes through it
with
tremendous strength. Sadie Higgins has spent most of her adult life rescuing her
younger brother Connor from one disaster after another.
Since
the death of their mother, Connor has been constantly in
trouble with the law and involved with drugs. He has
finally
gotten himself deep into something he can't get out of.
His
solution to solving his problems is to steal cattle from
Rory
Kendrick and his family. Sadie tries once again to rescue
him
but ends up with her life in jeopardy. Rory comes upon
Sadie
while looking for whoever is stealing his cattle. When he
comes upon Sadie he is shocked at the condition he finds
her
in. What is even more shocking is that her brother left
her
and never tried to help. Not only is Sadie trying to
rescue her brother, but she is also taking care of her
dying
father. When Rory sees all Sadie has gone through, he
knows he will do whatever it takes to protect her. STONE COLD COWBOY shows what drug addiction does to a
person and how
far they will go. Sadie has always bailed her brother out
of
trouble, but she has to come to terms with when it's time
to
step back and let him suffer the consequences. Rory has
watched how badly Sadie has been treated by her brother,
but he
also knows how difficult it is for her to let Connor fall.
Rory
stands by Sadie and gives her all the support and strength
she
needs when she suffers a painful loss. The Montana Men
once
again prove they take care of their own. It's sad to see how desperately Sadie wants to save her
brother. She keeps trying to give him every opportunity,
but
when when a mind is consumed with drugs sometimes there is
nothing a person can do. Sadie melts the STONE COLD
COWBOY'S heart. Rory
lifts Sadie
from all the burdens she has been carrying and gives her a
new
family who accepts her with open arms. Jennifer Ryan has a style of writing that draws you to her
characters. When you read about the hardships of her
female
characters you find it to be unbelievable, and then you are
amazed by their strength. I love everything written by her
and recommend all of her books.
SUMMARY
With their hearts' desires on the line, nothing can stop
the
Montana Men Sadie Higgins has a bad habit of bailing her brother out of

it. Because the cowboy tracking them down is big, silent,
and forbidding as hell. Rory Kendrick is on the hunt to find out who's been
stealing
from him. When he stumbles upon Sadie in the woods, he
barely recognizes the quiet, vulnerable beauty who has
always taken his breath away. His mission shifts in an
instant: He will do anything it takes to keep her safe . .
.
and make her his. Sadie has always protected her family—no matter the price.
But when Rory ropes her heart, she's forced to take a look
at her life and make a dangerous choice—one that could
cost,
or gain, her everything.
