A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER is a heartwarming collection of
short
Christmas stories by five top selling authors. Some of
the stories are hot
and spicy and some of the stories are sweet. No matter
which one you
prefer, you are sure to enjoy reading these novellas.
Dream A Little Dream by Jill Shalvis introduces you to Ian
O'Mallery. He is
a firefighter and up until six months ago, had a friends
with benefits deal
going with Melissa. He wanted to take it to the next
level and one night he
approached her with an offer to move in with him. She
said she wasn't
ready and the next day, broke it off with him. He thinks
about her everyday.
There is a fire in her apartment building and he can't
find her. Her car is
there but she isn't outside with the rest of the
residents. He finds her in her
bathtub and carries her out of the burning building. Does
having a near
death experience changes Melissa?? Enough to make her want
to try again
with Ian? I won't tell you but I will tell you that I was
cheering for them both
through every page.
Every Year by Kristen Ashley is like no other Christmas
story you will ever
read. Shy and Landon have not had the greatest holidays
since both their
parents were killed. But this year, things change.
Christmas with Tack and
Tyra brings a whole new sense of family and tradition.
It's their first
Christmas in many years that they are part of a loving
family and it's
heartbreaking, funny and sweet. Every Year is
heartwarming and will have
you almost in tears with your heart melting at the same
time. You can
never go wrong with a story by Kristen Ashley.
Silent Night by Hope Ramsay is the story of a down-on-her-
luck, single,
homeless mother of a 3-month old baby. Her car breaks
down on the side
of the road on Christmas Eve. Maryanne is desperate and
alone. Taking
shelter in an abandoned farmhouse, she's spotted by the
owner, a
handsome man driving a fancy BMW. He doesn't fit the old
farmhouse
she's hiding out in. Daniel's parents recently passed
away and he is at the
farm to sell the old place. Maryanne has dreams about
the blonde boy
who lives next door to her grandparents old farm. Can
Daniel showing up
and finding her, be fate? Feeling equally alone on
Christmas, can these two
lost souls find peace and healing during Christmas? Is it
possible to find
more? A nice, feel-good Christmas story depicting the true
miracles of
Christmas.
Have Yourself A Messy Little Christmas by Molly Cannon is
where you will
meet Lincoln Jones. He is a workaholic and even though
his house is
messy, he knows where everything is, or so he thinks. One
day, while
working hard at home, the doorbell rings and he is angry
for the
interruption. In walks Dinah Mason who owns A Place For
Everything.
She is a professional organizer. As Dinah gets to know
Lincoln she is sure
he hates Christmas. She feels sorry for him. But one
night while caroling
with her friends at the local hospital she finds out
exactly how Lincoln really
feels about Christmas! Do opposites really attract?
Molly Cannon does a
great job of connecting the reader to the characters and
will have you
flipping the pages like crazy to see how it ends for
Lincoln and Dinah.
A Family For Christmas by Marilyn Pappano is the story of
Jared who has
decided to go against family tradition and be a rural
family doctor instead of
a high priced specialist physician. He planned to fulfill
his two year contract
and then return home to New York. He never thought he
would meet
anyone like Ilena especially not in her elf costume. Ilena
loves Christmas
and plans on having a great first Christmas with her son.
When she see's
Jared she is instantly attracted to him and after time
together decides it is
time to move past the death of her husband. As Jared and
Ilena spend
more time together Ilena finds herself falling in love and
Jared finds himself
not only in love with Ilena but with her young son John as
well. But soon
Jared will have to decide if he is ready to put roots in
the small town and
promise forever to both Ilena and John. Even though the
story is short I
never felt like I was missing anything but i wish it was a
full length story just
because it was so good.
Reading the novellas in A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER was a
nice bonus
for me as I was introduced to some authors that I had
never read and some
that I had never heard of. I have found some new authors
that I will be
reading books from in the future. Overall this was a nice
compilation book
with fun Christmas stories that left me happy and ready
for the Christmas
season. Another great bonus with A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER
is that
each author has posted a snippet after their short story
of either a book that
they have already written or a book that will be coming
out. I completely
enjoyed this stories, some more than others but all of
them were worth the read.
