Rachael loves living in Sugar Creek, VT. It has all of
the things that she loves. It's a small town, everyone
knows
everyone. Rachael is involved in the Cupcake lovers club,
she helps out at the school and she is working for hunky
Luke Monroe. The only problem is that Rachael has a big
secret.
Luke owns the town's pub. Luke is attracted to Rachael,
but his cousin Sam is also very attracted to Rachael.
Because both cousins like Rachael, this is causing a big
problem in the family. One day Rachael up and disappears,
not telling anyone where she is going. Luke asked his
future brother in law Jayce, to try and track her down.
Little did Luke know what Jayce would come up with.
Rachael is not her name; her real name is Raegan, daughter
of a famous movie star. That's not all she is also a
millionaire. Luke heads to Bel Air, CA. to find out why
she would lied to everyone who cared about her. Once there
of course the sparks fly, and one thing leads to
another.
Beth Ciotta is a very entertaining writer. Some of the
story line is predictable, but after reading so many romance
novels, I can guess what is going to happen. This did not
however, keep me from enjoying ANYTHING BUT LOVE.
Once again, at the back of the book are some of the recipes
that the Cupcake Lovers Club makes in the book. This is
another item that I enjoy when I read books that have to do
with cooking or baking. I do love to try and make some of
the recipes that they describe.
For Reagan Deveraux, Sugar Creek, Vermont, and the Cupcake
Lovers are a dream come true: A cozy little town where
family and friends come before everything else. She’s never
experienced anything like it—especially not growing up with
her mother, a fickle, fame-hungry heiress. But Rae’s plan to
hide out in anonymity for a year until she can claim her
inheritance—and her independence—changes with one kiss from
gorgeous pub owner Luke Monroe.
Luke’s charm is legendary, but he’s never been a one-woman
man. Until Rae captures his attention, that is, and then
disappears. With a little help from a friend, Luke tracks
her down—and unearths secrets almost too wild to be true, as
well as the fact that Rae lied to him, and to all of Sugar
Creek. Luke’s not sure if he can forgive her, but he
definitely can’t forget her, and when she returns to save
the Cupcake Lovers from disaster, he knows it’s his chance
to get the truth—and get the girl, this time for good…
Anything But Love is the third Cupcake Lovers novel from
Beth Ciotta.
