Wolf shifter Mackenzie Davis has no plans to mate with
another shifter and doesn't even want to attend the Wolf
Gathering. All it is in her mind is a parade of puffed up
alpha's searching for sex. And with what she witnessed the
last two times she attended did nothing to quell those
ideas. The ridiculous ritual of mating is forever TARNISHED
in her eyes. Reluctantly, to please her mother she goes but
plans to hide out as much as she can until she can get away
and see her human boyfriend.
Drake Spencer is coming all the way from Texas to attend
this gathering, but he is also very reluctant. Last time he
saw "her" and watched as she walked away with another man.
He'd rather just stay home but his parents want him to come
to keep an eye on the brothers while they meet up with old
friends. He can't wait for the two days to be over ... until
he bumps into a beauty and ... it's her. Turns out she isn't
mated ... good thing because she is his. Now all he has to
do
is get her to see the truth.
TARNISHED is a sexy, fast paced roller coaster ride. Author
Becca Jameson always gives readers a little extra to think
about in her writing and this one gives us a lot to ponder
as the pages turn. Kenzie was understandably traumatized
after witnessing what she did as a teen and Drake is
spectacularly patient in his wooing of her. I really loved
the couple as they grow and accept that they are meant to
be together. I also loved the families on both sides. My
only complaint is this was a little too short. This is book
one of her series Wolf Gatheringsand I can't wait to
get
my hands on more.
Wolf shifter Mackenzie Davis has no interest in mating with
another wolf. A horrific experience in her past has hardened
her to this tradition of her heritage. She loves her life as
is: perfect job, perfect friends, and the absolute perfect
boyfriend—a human one. Nevertheless, her mother guilts her
into attending this year’s Wolf Gathering. Dragging her
feet, she agrees to one day only.
Drake Spencer has come to the gathering from Texas with his
family. He’s twenty-eight and believes his chances of
finding a mate are slim to none, especially since he saw the
woman he felt connected to leave with another man at last
year’s gathering. But what if the woman consuming his dreams
for the past two years is not actually mated?
When Mackenzie and Drake meet, sparks fly. Kenzie hopes to
deny his claim on her, but the call of mates is stronger
than she ever expected. If she follows Drake to his family
home in Texas, will she lose her sense of self, or will she
find out who she truly could be? And can Drake live with the
scars of her past?
