Kadie Andrews has a rather unique job. She photographs and
reports on real life ghost towns. Obviously, this allows her
to travel all over the place and she's often on the road for
weeks at a time. One particular night she stumbles upon an
old rickety bridge in the middle of nowhere. Even though
she's not feeling too confident about her decision to follow
it, the gas gauge on her car is telling her she has no
choice. So across the bridge she creeps.
Once she drives into the town itself, it's clear that she
may have discovered yet another ghost town by accident.
However, this is a ghost town of a very different sort.
There are secrets here in Morgan Creek; a very small place
that isn't on any map. Now that Kadie is here, she learns
all too quickly what these secrets are.
Kadie falls under the protection of one Rylan Saintcrow, the
master vampire in charge of the town and everyone in it.
He's captivated by her beauty and innocence and intends to
keep her for himself. Kadie fears Saintcrow even as she
feels herself developing deep feelings for him.
But is theirs a romance that's doomed from the start?
I really enjoyed getting caught up in AS TWILIGHT FALLS. An
avid fan of vampire fiction, I love the world that Amanda
Ashley creates for her characters. The beginning was a truly
creepy one that caught my interest immediately and never let
go of it until the end. There was one twist after another as I
traveled with Kadie on a journey that is both horrifying and
exciting.
Reading AS TWILIGHT FALLS made me want to race to the final
page to find out what would happen with Kadie and Saintcrow
while, at the same time, I didn't want the story to end. I
was drawn into their world and felt that there was much more
to tell about them even as the book came to a close. Be
forewarned, though, that once you start reading AS TWILIGHT
FALLS, it will be nearly impossible to put down until you
come to that last page.
Filled with all the romance, suspense, and twists that you
could ever hope to find in a book, AS TWILIGHT FALLS is one
of those not to be missed stories that you will carry with
you long after that final page is finished.
Photographing ghost towns across the American West, Kadie Andrews takes a wrong turn and ends up in Morgan Creek--a spot that isn't on the map. It's a quaint little place, but there's something off about its complacent residents. And when twilight falls, it takes on a truly sinister air. . . Unable to run, or to find any way out, Kadie finds herself a prisoner, hunted for her blood. Still more disturbing, her spirit and beauty have captured the attention of master vampire Rylan Saintcrow. When he looks into her eyes, she can see his hunger. When he takes her in his arms, she can feel his power. When he presses his lips against hers, she can taste his need. Saintcrow may be the most compelling creature she's ever imagined, but Kadie knows in her heart that he is also a man. A man who needs a woman. To want him, desire him, crave him. To be his willing prisoner--for all eternity. . .
