Tara Wharton is back home again after 10 years of doing
her best to stay away. Her sister, Faye, is unconscious
in the ICU and her father is dead following an auto accident.
Faye is deeply loved by Tara and viewed more as a mom than
her own mother, looking after Tara from the time she was an
infant. Now a corporate consultant, she is again in
Wharton, Arizona where the town basically grew up around her
family and their family electronics company.
After years of absence Tara must confront the love of
her life from high school, Dylan Ryland. Once desperately
in love their lives separated when Dylan chose to stay and
help his father with his business instead of following Tara
to college. All man now and possessing the same hot
magnetism, Tara is still drawn to him. Suspecting foul play
surrounding the accident, Tara and Dylan form a unity to
search out the truth. The secrets uncovered by Tara have
the ability to destroy both families and her already
estranged relationship with her mother. Dylan is the only
constant in her life and just maybe, this is really where
she belongs after all.
I truly found this story fascinating and filled with
remorse, deep seeded love and the desperate need for a young
woman to belong. There are many twists and turns to add
spice and suspense to this read. BACK WHERE SHE BELONGS is
an extremely hard book to put down. This is a tale truly
exciting to the turn of that final page. Dawn Atkins has
written a real winner full of compassion, sizzling sex,
and romance.
