keep her distance from Gage. He isn't at all what she

Rebecca to pose as his girlfriend to protect him from a
stalker, he finds he is up for the challenge. He is also
intrigued with Rebecca. As the stalker takes a shot at him,
he realizes just how helpless he is in this situation. He
starts worrying not for his own safety but for that of
Rebecca's.

but I had no problem following along.
