Lovie is in Mexico with Rocky enjoying the tropical nights in the Yucatan. However, Rocky isn't taking advantage of Lovie's charms and she is desperate. Callie finds herself heading down there with their Grandmother, Ruby Nell, Uncle Charlie, Ruby Nell's best friend, Fayrene and her dog, Elvis.

First Lovie is kidnapped and then Callie. Ruby Nell and Fayrene will stop shopping and start communing with the ghosts who haunt the dig.

Callie has two men occupying her thoughts: her almost ex- husband Jack and Champ back home. Champ is a very nice man who is waiting for an answer to his proposal. The big problem is that Jack is the one who sets her heart aflutter.

When Lovie is kidnapped and Elvis disappears with her, Uncle Charlie brings in Jack to aid in the search. Promising to sign the papers, Jack still takes every opportunity to kiss Callie.

The third in the Southern Cousin mysteries, the reader will be entertained throughout this story. The usual cast of characters with all their quirks and Elvis, reincarnated in a basset body will make keep the mood light.
