Film director Rill Pierce settled in the small town of
Vulture's Canyon to mourn the loss of his wife and unborn
child. Alcohol does quite well in keeping the memories at
bay until long time friend Katie Hughes shows up. Katie
was best friends with Rill's wife but has always been in
love with Rill. There is no way she intends to allow him
to destroy his life by drinking himself to death. On her
arrival a drunken Rill believes he's imagining having sex
with Katie but for her it's all too real even if Rill doesn't
remember it after he sobers up. One thing Rill can be
thankful for is his feelings for Katie began long after his
marriage was in trouble. Katie finds herself liking the
small town living and since she quit her job as a tax
attorney she's looking for a new career. As much as Rill
tries to drive Katie away he is unable to deny how much he
wants her. Katie refuses to pretend she isn't interested
in making love with Rill but she lets him set the pace.
When he tries to pretend it is only about sex, Katie must
decide to give him more time to figure out that he loves
her or Rill what true love is all about.
Hotter than hot sex abounds between the covers of ADDICTED
TO YOU. I usually
like the theme of friends who become lovers but with the
exception of the quirky secondary characters and the
wonderful small town setting there wasn't a much more than
sex, sex, and more sex. The hero was unlikable and seemed
to treat the heroine like a doormat, hardly ever having
anything good to say about her. Katie had no sense of
self-preservation when it came to Rill; she made excuses and
mostly blamed herself for his terrible behavior towards
her. I understood Rill's pain and empathized with his
situation but his total lack of respect for Katie made me
not care one way or the other about him. Katie would have
been a wonderful heroine if she hadn't come across as
immature woman lacking
self confidence.

Once, film
director Rill Pierce's raw sexuality and sultry Irish
accent made women weak with desire. But a tragedy has left
him barely recognizable. Leave it to Katie Hughes, his best
friend's sister, to bring him back to life with her own
pent-up passions. But will Rill's insatiable attraction to
Katie heal his pain-or just feed the darkness within him?
